Fast-Response-Sensors for triggering of airbag und active head restraint

SCHMIDT Technology offers with the types SCHMIDT® BS 15.03X new trigger sensors for safing function of electronic airbag units as well as for triggering active headrest in case of a rear crash. The sensors are suitable for wave and reflow soldering. Special care has been taken to meet the requirements of the EuroNCAP test with respect to lateral accelerations for airbag systems. Patent has been applied for the principle. A special simulation program has been developed which can be incorporated by means of a DLL file in existing programs enabling the user to simulate the complete unit. The multiprocessor capable program allows the automatic calculation of an unlimited number of 3D crash files as well as the dynamic trigger switching level calculation. By using the Monte Carlo principle forecasts of the switching probability for any type of 3D crash characteristics are possible. The results of the time to close values can be visualised graphically in a clearly arranged way.
